Lavender is the universal remedy of herbs. If in doubt about which ethereal oil, or which herb, will be efficacious, lavender will almost always be a safe bet. It has been a valued resource since Antiquity, not least because of its fresh mild fragrance. Owing to its antiseptic, antibacterial, and pain-relieving properties, it is a valuable ingredient in the treatment of wounds, scratches, burns, bruises, allergy, insect bites, and inflammation. It has an optimal soothing effect on the skin.

Rosewood is a particularly useful ingredient within skin care. It is anabolic and cell-stimulating and reduces wrinkles, scarring, and stretch marks. As it is extremely mild, rosewood is excellent for irritated skin; and, owing to its antiseptic and bactericidal properties, it is a well suited means against acne and wounds. For this reason, it is fantastic together with our lavender.

For centuries, camomile has been a medicinal product in Europe, used as disinfectant as well as ornamental plant. The ancient Egyptians dedicated the plant to Ra, the sun god. In Greece, in the 4th century BC, Hippocrates prescribed it against fever. Known as one among the nine holy herbs mentioned in the Anglo-Saxon text, Lacnunga, camomile has been acknowledged for its healing properties, through the ages. The active property of camomile, Azulen, is of a bold blue colour – which is what lends this scrub its colour.

Olive oil is a valuable source of vitamins such as A, D, E, and K that promotes the growth of new skin cells as well the body’s resistance to infections. In addition, olive oil provides better uptake of vitamins from other ingredients and has an exceedingly high content of antioxidants.

Vitamin E is a forceful antioxidant and an excellent contributor to the retainment of a youthful appearance of the skin, as – via oxidisation – it will reduce the cell-decomposition process.

Lavender Body Scrub is highly efficient against itching, inflammation, redness of the skin and similar irritation.

Are you prone to develop spots after shaving, you should try to give yourself a mild massage, using this scrub. Just rinse with warm water after use and dap yourself dry. The oils will help you.

If you use this scrub in your face against barber’s itch, you must be very gentle and careful. Only dab dry, thus allowing the skin to retain its oiliness.

Magnesium Sulfate, Olea Europaea Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia, Tocopherol, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, Aniba Rosaeodora Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia Oil, Guaiazulene, Perfume

In Cleopatra’s palaces, camomile was strewn on the floor for its fragrance and bactericidal efficacy. Also, it was gently boiled for making an extract and then added her bath water.
